What do you wish for?

Well, I don't mean you... I mean our favorite ninjas! I suspect, if they were granted a wish, they would wish for world peace, and end to Galactor, defeating Katse... But if we get beyond that, what would the Team wish for?

Here are my guesses.

Ken - For his father to be alive again.
Joe - To be human again (not a cyborg)
Jun - Ken! Smooch2
Jinpei - That he would never have to do dishes again
Ryu - A lifetime supply of sugarae and hula girls

I think you've pretty much hit the nail on the head with everyone's wishes.

On a more material note:

1. Ken - an F16 (or whatever the latest fighter jet is - I know nothing about planes)
2. Joe - a porshe (or some equivalent fast car)
3. Jun - lots of new clothes from Ameris
4. Jinpei - endless video games
5. Ryu - a recliner for napping

I think you're right on, about Ryu's recliner especially! I cna se ehim having a model with a fridge in it, so he doesn't have to get up for snacks... ROFL 2

You've both nailed the most possible individual wishes of the SNT members!! I'm chuckling at the idea of a hi-tech recliner for Ryu! And, TJ, you're just spot on!

One, unanimous wish that I think they all would have is that they could ive normal lives! As for individual wishes ... apart from those already listed, nothing in my mind, yet!

I suspect that if the war were over, they'd have the chance to live normal lives.... presuming they wanted to. I'm thinking that for Ken, especially, there might be trouble adapting to civilian life.

I think TJ and Nuni have got those pretty well.

I might have said:

Ken - a chance to understand why his father did what he did (finding or receiving a letter or a diary explaining.)

Joe - to become a top race car driver

Jun - new clothes, a stable job and life and then Ken (or some man who fits into that stable life style she has found.)

Jinpei - collecting the largest collection of bug known and a life time membership to the zoo. Maybe even not just a collection of video games but writing some of his own.

Ryu - buying a large cabin cruiser or yacht and sitting back with a fishing line hanging over the side. Cabin girls extra....

I cannot agree more with this statement! It would have been hard for all of them, in fact! We've already discussed this subject in previous threads, but it's always one that involves a lot of interest, thinking, and assumptions! It's not that easy to turn over a new leaf when one is so used to a certain lifestyle!

I chose Ken as having the most difficulty adapting, because he seems to have less holding him to a 'normal' life. He's the most isolated (at least, in the first series) and doesn't seem to have a place in 'society' like the others do.

In Gatchaman II and F, Joe takes on this role somewhat, being a cyborg and having given up his racing (from what we can see). So after those series, I can also see him having a difficult time adjusting to civilian life.

I just thought about it, but other than the Snack J (which is in Gatchaman II and only the first episode of Gatchaman Fighter) we don't really see much 'civilian life' of the Team. No trailer, no marina, no shack at the airfield...

In the last series, battles were more frequent, and intensified, so the Team didn't have that much time at leisure! What's also different from the first series is the fact that most of their identities had eventually been uncovered, so they had to be more cautious. We also find that, in Gatch F, the Team spent most of their days at the base as they were almost always on call, and perhaps because it was the safest place to be. They would have tried for sure, though! They weren't the quitting type!

Ken- A time machine so he could go back and change things with his dad.

Joe- Galactor annihilated, be the Stig on Utolands number one car show.

Jun- Married to Ken, and be in control of his finances.

Jinpei- work at "Sea world" with the dolphins.

Ryu- His own fleet of fishing boats so he can get some sleep.
