So what's everybody doing for the 4th of July weekend?
I wish I could do something other than stay home the whole time, but looks like that's not happening. I wish I could spend it with one of my homies here on the forum like TJ or Springie or Megs.
Why not join us all for a chat on Saturday afternoon/evening your time? If you look at Askura's Chattity McChat Chat thread, we've been discussing chatting then.
So you can hang out with us after all!

Oh, that box. You'll dream about that box: it'll never leave you. Big and little at the same time; brand-new and ancient - and the bluest blue, ever.
Yeah, I'm glad the timing of the chat put it Saturday evening my time. I have to get up at 7:45 on Sunday, and then, Sunday night Amaya and I are supposed to go to a bonfire and backyard fireworks display--if anyone brings fireworks, that is. I may see what's available around here today or tomorrow afternoon since it's been ages since I contributed and kaboom to one of these gathering.
We're cooking out with the fam and hanging out on the screened in porch...the kids will probably swim and light sparklers while we watch the fireworks all around us.
Happy 4th to all of my fellow American friends around here!

I get to rearrange furniture in my mom's spare bedroom so that an electrician can come in and replace the electric panel that lost UL rating and circuit breakers that don't trip when they are supposed to. After that, I'll probably get drunk with my sister-in-law and then stumble up to the Vet's Home to watch the fireworks.
Anyone in the bay area with no place to go is always welcome to stop by.
Currently I'm sitting at the keyboard with a music CD running, trying to generate enough ordinariness to keep the dog from climbing the wall behind me. Border collies and fireworks are a very bad combination. At the current rate--quarter to midnight and the noise is going strong out there--I'm going to be resorting to the acepromazine and he can just spend the rest of the night gorked out of his little doggy mind.
Thanks, UW! It's great to see all of the activity on here! I think I'm mostly caught up now... just in time to go away for another week and attend Comic Con.
