Oh, Green! Yours is quite a story and it's hilarious how different drugs have different effects on those who take them! I'm allergic to most of them, so I don't even know where to begin to explain their effect on me!
I had my four wisdom teeth extracted at once when I was 26 years old during a 2 and a half hour operation ... they had never appeared at all at the surface and I was risking the growth of cysts which could have lead to infection. Obviously, during the operation I was under anaesthetic the entire time, so I didn't feel anything when they were cutting ... the pain came afterwards, when the effect was over, and loads of it! I had a swollen, bruised and sore face for days and I sincerely don't know how my fiance', who's now my DH, didn't leave me for good after seeing such a horrible scene! We still laugh when we recall those days!
The most immediate thing that I remember after the surgery is that I threw up for several long hours before my interior was entirely cleared from the anaesthetic, which my body seemed to have not fancied at all, and that I was in a very bad mood! I didn't want anyone around me and I still feel guilty for not treating my parents and my fiance' so well when they only wanted to keep me company and see that I was well!
Another thing that I surely will never forget is that, even if I weren't that much cooperative, my dear mother, who was already very sick, that day being some months before her passing away, wanted to watch over me all through the night to ensure that I was okay. I remember quarrelling with her because I didn't want her to tire out, but she told me, "You've stayed with me for entire nights at the hospital ... now it's my turn to do my part!" She didn't need to add more ... I then knew how much it was important for her to do so when she had been long dreading the fact of her becoming useless due to her illness. So, I quietened and let her stay with me in my room ... that was the last night we had spent together ... just a few months afterwards I got married and then she eventually passed away.

Oh my...wisdom teeth...I had mine removed right before I got married...and the doctor couldn't find a vein so that he could put me out. He stuck me 8 times...I was such a wreck by the end of it, my knees were jumping off the seat!
Finally, he gave me a choice...I could either go to the hospital to be put under anesthesia, or I could stay awake and he would give me laughing gas and painkillers while he cut the teeth out.
I chose to stay awake. Big mistake.
I could hear everything going on and feel pressure. He'd say, "You're going to feel a little tug..." and my whole head would come up off the seat as he pulled!
I could also hear the squeak of the thread as he stitched me up. Apparently, the laughing gas wasn't working, because I wasn't laughing!
When my fiance and mom walked in afterward, I finally broke down crying.
Later that day, my fiance (DH) gave me a coke ...we weren't thinking...the bubbles hit the back where the teeth had been removed...yeeeeeouuuuch!
We both still talk about it...he felt so bad.
