hey,

I was wondering how to setup a Macintosh to run MacOS 9 & 10 on the same Hard Drive out overwriting the other os? it's unsual Because I thought you could only have one os on the Mac at one time



anyone Know?

We have Macs here at work and I hate them with a passion. Let me see if I can find any instructions we have on setting up dual boot.

Though I think that this is not supported by Apple in the slightest.

Swan Jun. Why do you want this capability. I have found most programs no longer run on OS 9 and because browsers have been upgraded there are few websites that accept the browsers that can be run by OS 9.

Have you tried the Apple Website discussions board to search for your question?

I Had A Customized iMac That Could Run With OS 9 And 10

But I Have a Question Though Partitioning The HD Would Have To Be Done B4 OS 9 and 10 Were Installed?

Did your custom have a single partitioned drive or did it have two bootable hard drives?

I can see it working much better if it were two seperate drives rather than a partitioned drive.

It Had a Rather Unusual Hard drive It Was Custom Made For The Dual Boot Purpose
