What the? They look like.....I don't know what. And I ain't diggin' that techno music in the trailer either. I think I'm having second thoughts about the film now. Also the Galactors look like rejected designs for Robocop.

This was done in 2006, before the designs made by Patrick Awa. It's not the finalized product yet.

Oh, well I'm glad they didn't stick with those designs.
Very interesting to finally see it, even if nothing ever really came of it -thanks for posting this!

The trailer looks pretty slick, not too fond of those doll like faces (yes i know it's just an early teaser and all, I was just sayign my thoughts) But if this was an indication of the final movie, I'd watch it
Oh and am I the only one who got an NTT Commercial vibe from some parts, like Ken diving from the building and transforming?

I agree ... Ken's diving reminds me a lot of the NTT commercials ... even the part when he's crouched and holding his masked head down. As for the doll-like faces ... some of you may know how I think about them! Not so keen to see something like that!

It does have the same feel - is it possible that NTT used Imagi to do the commercials and that's why?
No, the NTT spots were done entirely in Japan, without any involvement from Hong Kong-based Imagi. Besides, Imagi had barely been founded in 2000, which was when the NTT spots were produced. Instead, Imagi was "inspired" (*Ahem*) by the NTT spots for their work.

True. Felix did say on his blog that they tried incorporating the feel of the NTT commercials in the film during its earlier stages.
The direction of the trailer was pretty slick, but I can't say that I enjoyed the art direction as much. It was a good thing they were going a different direction with the designs.
Either way it's still sad that we'll never see the movie.
