Who wants to reconcile the appearance of a giant crayfish with the statement that it’s a squid?
Um... A recent (and little known) alteration in aquatic invertebrate taxonomy has made "squid" a broader term, now encompassing all mollusks and crustaceans?
Or, the BOTP writers thought children would be confused if there were more than one animal referenced in an episode, and therefore, as a squid had already appeared, any other creature that appeared in the episode would be referred to as a "squid," regardless of its appearance?
Or, the squid is wearing armor, and the latest fashion in Spectran mecha armor is for it to resemble the shell of a crawfish?
Okay watching this episode a little while ago got me curious
I could understand "Gatchaman" gaining a reputation amongst the kids, and I could see them knowing about Bird Style, but how do they know about "Bird, Go!"?
We all asked the same question before! Knowing that it was imperative for their identities to be kept secret I assume that the team never transformed in Bird Style in front of anyone ... perhaps there was an occasion in which someone overheard their call and spread out the news, oops!
