A year ago, I took in a little stray female cat, a calico, and my old black cat never got used to her at all, and he would try to beat her up at every opportunity. She was declawed so she couldn't defend herself well at all -all she had going for her was the fact that my cat's very old so she was faster than him and could jump higher. I wanted to keep her, regardless, but the neighbours two houses down the street knew her too (she was a very friendly cat) and their accountant offered to take her. So, now she's living with the accountant and no one's beating her up. I miss her though. She was a sweetie.

Thank you, I'm trying fic writing, but it's a slow process lostmuse School was a long time ago...
But I have to say a big thank you to all you ficcie writers. You've made me laugh so hard I've woken up the neighbours four houses down, cried like my heart was broken and think about cartoon characters in ways I never have before (Looking at you Transmute Jun and Springie!) Eek5

‘Tomorrow is Black Friday.’ Spoken by the girl.
‘Black Friday?’ The man asks.
‘You know, Friday the thirteenth.’
‘You don’t believe in superstitions, do you?’
The girl withers under the steady gaze of clear blue eyes.
‘Of course not! But I hope I don’t break a mirror or something – that would be just too freaky.’
‘I hope we don’t get called out, we don’t need any extra bad luck.’ The child looks up from the sink.
‘You’re being silly, you make your own luck.’ A second man speaks.
‘You should go fishing, you’d learn a lot more about luck and who makes it.’ The big guy puts in.

The young man looks at the damage left by a sudden wind across an unprotected airfield, a Cessna tossed aside like a child’s toy.

Somehow, I think it should have been related to his car, or his gun jamming. But I can't see a park bully beating him up. Just me.... Wink

I went with the thought it had to be something that wouldn't normally happen to them to stay within the theme...
Ken would normally be paranoid about making sure his plane was safely in it's hanger. Jun would have the Snack spotless with no hope of pests. Jinpei would know better than allowing one of his pets any chance of escape and Joe would never get sucker-punched. On any other day....
As for Ryu landing a fish, well, since he had the most open ideas about the day and luck in general, it made sense that the day itself had no bearing on him. He accepts what happens, happens...
