Best way to make a forum active is to post stuff you'd like to see more of, or to appreciate the stuff others post.
I mean, who wants to drop in to an empty room or contribute threads that no one joins?
There's also the weather factor. The annual expedition into the shed after the rushed winter packing, to find the bicyclesand bike wrenches, pumping up tires and raising seats. The first BBQ of the season (after de-spidering it and filling the tank).
Maybe the next rainy weekend will see more folk here.

was hoping that ppl might have left some stuff for me to read.........
..........i have tried adding stuff in the past that gets viewed but rarely commented on..........i ended up putting what was probably my raunchiest story in the rubber room and barely got a comment, likewise my poetry...........if ppl had said they wanted to see more i would have posted more...........
Over here in Oz we don't see the same cartoons/comics as u in the UK and US do.........We don't see the same TV shows so there is a real barrier to talk about anything in common........
i watch battle of the planets, a lot of you in here are more familiar with gatchaman......
.......the list goes on.......
Thankyou to those who have been active since i was last here.....
.......and good luck with end of terms/years......
wish i was just starting into the warmer weather......so far autumn has been damp.......i know we need it but still, so much together and its just not consistant, its like 4 seasons in one day atm.

Eagle,
I grew up on Battle of the Planets also so happy to discuss that.
That aside we seem to have inherited a few Oz programmes.
To cite an example we get Steve Irwin and his animal shows (not just with crocodiles).
I am sure there is lots to talk about just have to keep bugging you til we find something to put you in the hotseat about

i think i am one of the few Aussies that like Steve Irwin. I know so many people who can't stand his persona.....I have to admit at one time i found him irritating too but then i realised that it was his enthusiasm for the animals and their cause.
And as a fellow reptile keeper i have to say i admire and respect the work he does. He has perhaps been the best ambassador for the reptile world in recent times. There has always been local advocates for Reptiles but on an international level there has been few, certainly none so specialized.
