The Japanese clothing manufacturer Uniqlo has recently begun releasing a line of T-shirts under the banner of "Japanimation Tatsunoko," featuring a variety of Tatsunoko characters. Gatchaman is, of course, one of these. Current plans call for at least 2 different Gatchaman style T-Shirts, the first of which can be seen here:
A second shirt, due out by the end of this month, is white with a small bird head symbol over the left breast. Both shirts will retail at a fairly reasonable 1,500 yen apiece (Roughly $14.99 at current exchange rates). While Uniqlo doesn't do overseas mail orders, proxy services like Celga (http://www.celga.com/beta/) will place website orders for you (For a fee, of course).
Uniqlo even has a commercial for their recent T-shirt releases that does dedicate a few seconds to Gatchaman. This commercial can be seen here:
Thanks for the links, James! The Gatch shirt looks like a fun design.
At the end of the commercial, a guy in a green shirt comes forward, and I could have sworn that it said 'Spectra'! But I had to rewind and it actually says 'spectator'. Makes sense. Like any self-respecting Japanese fan would be wearing a shirt that said Spectra...
