Minerboh, your comic and book definitely sound interesting to me!
How did you first get to know Gatchaman? Like many others here, I first saw "Battle of the Planets" in the 1970s, but I only discovered Gatchaman a few years ago. |

I was introduced to the Gatchaman universe a while back when one of our local tv stations broadcoasted G- Force. I was very impressed by the show partically with the main villain Berg Katse ( Gallactor in G-Force) witch was one big thorn in G-force's side, sometimes they where defead by him. Sadly, G- force's run ended with the episode where the team comes face to face with Compucor (Sosai-X). Afew years later another tv station begun showing Eagle Riders, i was pleased to see that the show would go on when i realized that something was wrong... Berg Katse was gone, Compucor had a face lift and he was called Cyber con or something. The rest of the characters had new names and new ecuipment inclunding a new rocket ship which replaces the original Phoenix called Ultra Eagle ( i never liked Ultra Eagle). Later the team has a new change of weapons. G1 was now armed with a sword and the team had a new vehicle which was the result of the compination of 5 smaller ones, much cooler from the stupidity that was Ultra Eagle but quite inferior when it comes in comparison to the original Phoenix ( what happened to it anyway?). I catched a few episodes of Battle of the Planets but i didn't liked it. That stupid robot and all these edits had wounded the show if you ask me, in the terms of edited versions i prefer G-Force which had a more serious tone than the other two versions all though it had it's weak spots, the names of the characters were atrocious ( dr Brighthead?!?)

I agree the G-Force names with atrocious, but I still can't help but think of them when I watch the eps.
