How would you like to handle Episode Discussions?

We have 2 more Honorees of the Week (G-Town and the Gatchaman Base). After this, we will begin Episode(s) of the week. There has been discussion of how we should handle this, with no obvious consensus, so I am going with a poll.

We will be discussing Gatch I episodes. If we finish all 105 episodes, we will move on to Gatch II and F.

REGARDLESS of which way the poll goes, we will discuss ALL versions of the episode in Gatch/BOTP/G-Force universes. We will also discuss 2-part episodes (eg: Jigokillers, destruction of Crescent Coral base) all together in one week.

I'm going to ask Cep to make a special section for episode discussions, so we can all use it as a reference in the future.

Please vote! I have this poll set to go for 2 weeks, which gives us time to get everyone's vote, and set up for our first episode week.

I think 2 a week, but if theres nothing to say a thread cant carry on if its generating a lot of debate.

I'm going to keep this open another week at least, but it certainly looks like the votes are going for 2 episodes a week. If that's the result, I'm going to need help. I only have time to screencap and summarize one episode a week. Particularly because if I do a Monday ep, the next one is likely to be Thursday, which is a really bad day for me, most of the year.

So... I'm jumping the gun a bit, but if there's anyone who would like to volunteer to take screencaps and post them and write up summaries of episodes once a week, please step forward!

Oh, I didn't realize that "discussion" was going to include summaries with screencaps. I can't make screencaps (unless I steal them from Reboekah's site), but also I'll gladly write episode summaries and post screencaps!

You might be able to "Borrow" some of the summaries from Springie's and TJ's site - Junsjoint, and screencaps I guess could come from reboekah's.

I too didn't realize that we were going to have screencaps too. I don't want to make things more complicated than they already are, but if we're all going to watch the eps before/during the discussions, are the caps really necessary?? Don't mean to start another debate - just throwing that out there! Wink3

, I can't wait for the discussions on episodes of Gatchaman, and also BOTP, of course, considering that I have never watched the BOTP versions. I have cast my vote and agreed with the option to discuss two episodes in order per week.

I would be glad to help with screencaps (Gatchaman's version, of course), but don't think that I can write any summaries, definitely not with my lack of decent English writing skills, Crying1

, anyway, I think thatVeronica's page has provided quite good summaries on each episodes of Gatchaman I and Gatchaman II.

I actually agree with TJ's idea to provide screencaps, after all, pictures do speak a thousand words, however, I know that not everyone here is able to take screencaps, that's why I am willing to help with the screencaps, but will let the writing on the hands of all the pros in this board, Big Grin

Okay, so what we have is:

Me doing an episode on Mondays. I might require some BOTP episode summary help for the first few since I have the Australian DVD sets, but I'm missing set 1.

Group effort episode on Thursdays. This would be Shamrockchick and Saturn doing screencaps, LB doing Gatch episode summaries, and SJ adding in BOTP episode summaries (if the episode was used in BOTP).

I don't think we have any G-Force experts around here to add in the G-Force versions, but if you are out there, speak up! We could use you!

The poll is open for a few more days, but I'll start working out a tentative schedule since it seems to be heavily leaning in a certain direction.
