No nothing like that.
Probably a very early version of the first one you showed. Limited functions since the computer age was just beginning. What my brother and I were given was considered very futuristic at the time. (remember back then computers with any size of memory were still the size of small rooms.)
Yeah, I actually had to write a 10 page paper on the development and progress of memory capacity... ugh, ultimate boredom there.... Yeah it's amazing what they could do then... and how expensive it was

I love that cartoon, LB! And the dog running away looks a lot like Rover... Poor guy! He had to sit in Center Neptune all day, never got to go out, and had only Zark for company.
I'm trying to recall if I ever wondered, watching BOTP years ago, why 1-Rover-1 (and Zark) never, ever left that one room at Center Neptune! Granted, the poorer quality animation of the Zark and 1-Rover-1 scenes (and the ready room!) provided a big clue as to why they never left that one room, but I can't remember if I ever really thought about that while watching BOTP.
If the poorer quality animation had been the only restriction, then they both could have made it to the G-Force Ready Room. I think Zark would be good at waiting on Tiny and bringing him Spaceburgers, while Rover could fetch any random ping pong balls that fly acorss the room.

Yes, they could have at least let 1-Rover-1 hang out in the ready room. As for Zark, didn't he sometimes appear on a screen in the ready room to talk to the team? -that's good enough for him!

I just remembered that 1-Rover-1 plays a prominent role in TJ's fic, "A Place on the Team", and is in a marvelous illustration done by Springie.
Ah yes... I've asked Springie to redo that one. Notice that Rover has an antenna in his mouth....
