When you say original appeareance or the blue one? Wasn't Sosai the one who caused the transformation?
No, Z didn't cause him to become blue-skinned. He had the blue skin and the white hair following the surgery he had done to change his face to look like that of his half brother. Since his half brother had brown hair and normal skin color, exactly why he did this is unknown.

Oh, the question was for Rory, who said Ego will have another look change in her Fic! I was wondering if it was Soasi who caused the second change!

I believe I answered your question in the PM I sent you. Haven't you read it yet?
Hmm. May I ask a question? Well, here it is. I need an approximate date of the Gatch F end - the date of Sosai Zed's defeat. If the date is unavailable, then tell me, was it a summer or autumn or spring or winter...

Amy i take my hat off to you. That is brilliant!!!
Tatsumoko wanted us to use our imaginations about the ending of his series! I imaged they lived, just like Kamo indicated and Nambu told Ken, he wanted the to live...
Rory I congratulate you on being so detailed...not its your turn to put what you see into the ending...

Sinc it's hard to tell the season, because the action took place in several places on Earth. Anyway, the last scene seen on Earth, before the final battle here is on the arctic pole, before Ego and a group of his men embark on Sosai's body!

The original series was supposed to begin in 2001. So give a couple of years for the original series to take place, a couple of years between shows, and a couple of years for Gatch II and F.... um... 2007 or 2008? Hey, maybe it's happening today!

Thanks EB! I asked because I've been reading the summaries on Veronika's site and looking at the screencaps on Rebokah's site for Gatch 2 and trying to get the jist of the episodes that way.

I used to do that a lot for the gatchaman I series as well but then I got my own copies of the DVD's and have watched them. Now I am with you Condorfan, trying to imagine what is happening from the screencaps and the few summaries I have read.

Actually, from what I can tell, for the most part ER tried hard to get the general translation of the lines and the general plotlines intact. There are exceptions of course, but it's not like BOTP where the eps had no similarities at all.

I recently discovered that my nephew (age 12) actually likes Eagle Riders better than Gatch II -but this is entirely attributable to the fact that he dislikes subtitles. We ended up watching the ER versions of the third and fourth Gatch II episodes, and really, other than the name changes, there wasn't a great deal of difference (and what differences there were, I explained to him). So now he has seen for himself that Joe lives (!) and he is happy.
He then spent the rest of the day periodically chanting "Ea - gle Ri - ders," and expecting me to provide the theme song's "ooooohhhhh, aaaaahhhhh" accompaniment.
I found that with those Eps of ER when i watched them. They did mix up the order a bit later on. EP 6 has Hunters "lost love" thing happening so they would have had to change more of the dialogue for that ep, (apparently it later on in Gatchaman 2, and she's not Ken's lost love.)
