Everything's okay here! I actually wasn't around Indianapolis last night because my boyfriend suddenly decided he wanted to go to Dayton, Ohio (2 hours east of here) to hang out at our friend's nightclub. Driving home, around 3 AM, getting close to Indianapolis, we pulled off at an exit where we usually get gas and the power was out -no traffic lights, no lights at the gas station. That was our first clue that the storms had been severe. We got back to the house, and there were leaves and branches all over the place (the yard is a mess!) but no trees came down, or at least, not right here. And, the power was on here.

At any rate, I just got out of bed now, and I can look forward to going around the yard today and collecting up tree debris.

We get bad lightning storms like that Iborgia, it sounds like it must have been very bad from the posts. I'm glad to hear you got home alright. Especially out driving in a storm is even more scary.

I been mild a bit warm a bit wet at times. But that's what you get with May in this damm country and now it's June, it will be damm hot and wet at times. Bloody weather.

As an undergraduate, 1991-92, I had a guitar-playing roommate who badgered me into singing with her in subway stations in Montreal (mostly folk music). When I was at college, there was a kind of a Karaoke night out for the students and I was rubbish on couple of songs and good on 1 or 2.

The only songs which I think (must have 2 pints first) I can sing alright are Born To Be Wild, Stand By Me, Sexbomb, Grease Lightening and 2 others that I can't quite remember the names of (good news as well I think)/.

I haven't done it for under 7 years and will never to it again.

That brought back memories of when I lived close to city about 10 minutes away from the CBD. The tunnels leading to Central Station,(Main station in Sydney) had buskers all the way along them because they run for ages to walk through.

When I had been in High school...many years ago, some of the school band (Which I was in, flute) came to Sydney to busk on the streets, I didn't come down to Sydney with them, mum thought it was to dangerous.

There was this African guy with a strong powerful singing voice often in tunnels busking. He sang "Knocking on heavens door," The emotions and passion he poured into words made me often stop and listen to him sing. I always gave him some coins.

I got married in 1992...I was 20 yrs old.

Do you still play the flute, Ebony? Me, I can't play any musical instrument, although I wish I could play the guitar. Maybe in some parallel universe, I can play and sing like Joni Mitchell, but sadly, not in this one.
