Egobossler

Amy's favourite topic I know.

What were his good traits if any? We have read his past but was there a softer side to him?

I figured I should point out that Egobossler's references to his "Family" are not referring to any sort of blood relatives. It is a reference to the "Egobossler Family," which is akin to a "Mafia Family."

Of course Egobossler has good traits. Everyone does. Heck, even Adolf Hitler played with his dog. As Amy pointed out, he was very good to his troops, and many of them repaid this with devout loyalty. He also didn't spend all his days plotting ways to take over the world, as evidenced by his hobbies, like skeet shooting and playing poker.

But that didn't stop him from being a very ruthless and driven character. Ruthless in that he would do anything to get power and keep it, even to the point of killing anyone who might be able to expose his fraudulant claim to his title, be it his personal bodyguards, old family servants, or even a close friend and his family. Driven in that his lust for power was, in the end, more important to him than the well being of his own people. Seriously, these people lost their homeland to his dreams of world conquest, and were forced to go into hiding in an underground city built under frozen wastes, just so they could try to do it all over again!

Let's also not forget that this is the man who killed Director Nambu. This act might be understandable, given that they were enemies, but can he really be forgiven for desecrating Nambu's grave by planting an explosive on it? To me, that was crossing the line.

But yeah, he did have good traits, even if they weren't the focus of what we saw. He was the villain, after all.

Fb I love to write about him because he is a mixture, and he's easy to make complex...

OK I could be bias or wrong but this is how I look at him.

Intelligent- he leads an army and he is very good with strategy.He also gathers information about past leaders of Galactor, but the benefits for him out weight the failure of the past.

Shrewd- a part of being a brilliant strategist he makes alliances to benefit his cause.Ie Galactor.

A Leader- in regards to his men yes, he looks out for them, but when they discover he lied to them about who he really is it undermines him.Ambition is his drive, why else would he a line himself with Galactor, he wants power and he sees that they can give it to him, and he can defeat the ghosts that haunt him...

Vindictive-towards his enemies, if you have done him an offense watch out, or if they are an enemy to his ally, in this he has loyalty.

Cultured- he likes society and to be recognised for his rank, red wine and Opera.He wants a lover, but he is a bit clueless in that area. He is also a very good swordsman...

I take an interest in him FB because in my series he is the main Villain. I have put him in few fics already...

Anyway thats my Interpretation of him.

Amy i don't think he was out to destroy the world either, he wanted more power...losing power hurt him, he was a changed man when his mother died at the hands of his father. It doesn't make how he get revenge right though...two wrongs don't make a right. He could have gone about it differently.

He became bitter when she died, and i feel it ate away at him, maybe going into the pyramid to confront Leader Z was his way of realizing he was on the wrong path...and his goals were actually being undermined by Z'ds false promises.

It is the tiny spark of humanity that adds blaze to a villain

Hi all!

Well, now here is my very own feel of Count Egobossler. You know, being somewhat an Evil Genius myself, I can't be trully objective, but never mind. Well:

Everybody has good features. No - everybody, even a darkest dark leader has a flash of light in his soul, somewhere deep. I'm one of persons who thinks that good'n'evil are the very basic concepts of the Being, but it never appears in a clear state; it's always a mixture, in certain proportions, of course.

Being ruthless and agressive, Egobossler is no wonder a conqueror of Hitler level; but he feels certain kinship with the Earth, he still thinks about himself as of a citizen of this world. No matter that he've tried to take it over; it's his world anyway, and he fights with diabolically powerful Z for this world. Was it his return to the Light? Or maybe he acted as a caring King who rushes towards the battlefield to save his beloved domain? Who knows; but he's not so spoiled as legendary Sith Lords (forgive me for such a comparison) who leave homeworlds to its fate.

Digging into the psychology, (all hail to Zigmund Fraid ^_^) we can say that Ego had his reasons for such a behaviour. He was trying to take the world over mostly to relieve it from all the injustice and nightmares he suffered as a child; his megalomania developed because of his humilation back at his earliest days, and his life as a Gallactor leader is nothing more but a payback for spoiled childhood, and avenging for mother's death. Of course he's insane; it was his madness that drove him towards this way, the wish of revenge. It's not up to us to judge him, since he's not a normal human; it was said that only God himself could judge madmen, so let it be.

And now is totally non-objectiove POV ^_^ Egobossler is worthy of adorement for certain traits. Even being a Gallactor leader, he's not a capricious playful fools like Gel Sadra and not a ruthless sadist like Katse; he has good manners, he's elegant, a type of man I could love if I could be a girl ^_^ Katse and Gel Sadra both had no much skill; they had their madness and nothing more. Katse's art of impersonation was genetically achieved and in-born, Sadra had no skill at all -_-" And as for Ego - he's a good fighter himself, a swordmaster of a good class. And even revealing his face, he succeeds to maintain the attitude of mysterious Dark Lord, the one I like. Since he's fellow Conqueror of the World, I adore him ^_^

Hmph. That's all, I presume.
