It was about 3:00 pm (monday) yesterday and I was sitting in the (white-painted) kitchen on the computer..when the sun came out and it got really bright with all the snow glare. I couldn't see the screen in front of me!
The last few days it's been so dark and gray and then BLAMMO!!! SUNSHINE!!!!
Plus I work nights so I rarely get to see the sun in winter...

Eggnog is basically milk or cream, blended with egg yolks, a little vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon. It's super-rich and very fattening Xmas drink. It's even better with your favorite alcolhol. I like it with Bailey's, Amaretto, Kaluha.. Yummy.

Only minde was from biology and watching the egg mature into a chick. *shudder*
That's nowhere as ewwks as eating one. Raw!
That used to be my party trick when I was younger. Crack an egg into a glass and drink it down. It's pretty common for people who are weight training (ie lifting weights) because the egg has lots of protein. In Japan there is a dish called Nama Tamago which is raw egg (to be mixed with soy sauce) on rice. Eggnog is very sweet and nothing like eating raw eggs.
Amy, how about biting into an "Easter" egg and finding one that had tried to start forming.... talk about not wanting to eat eggs for a really long time... BLECH!!!!

I put one egg yoke to two cups of hot Chocolate with Baileys in it. Sometimes I don't.
Welcome to Ebony's cooking class...
Ebony's hot chocolate,
(This makes 2 cups)
aprox 50g real melting dark or milk chocolate(White chocolate is yummy too.:
1 cup cream
1 cup of milk
1 egg yoke
add Baileys however much your heart desires...
or creme de monte for a mint flavour.
method;
wisk egg yoke and add a little of the cream, put aside.
Melt chocolate slowly over boiling water(double pot) slowly add cream and egg yoke mix
stir until hot and all the chocolate is smooth, add liquor if you want and then pour into cups, top with grated chocolate or sweet chilli.
Eggnog would be a good winter drink, but yes it is rich, I have tried it a few times, but made more as a cocktail with baileys, or brandy.

This thing sound delicious. However I think I'll remove the egg yolk when I'll cook it!
