I just hope no one has an old moldy lunch in their backpack that should have been thrown out ages ago... wait a minute that was my high school locker. Flip

I was thinking of it being a fake Jun because I just watched Episode 61: "The Phantom Red Impulse" where Katse disguised himself as the Red Impulse. And I was also thinking of the Eagle Riders episode where he sends a double for Jun to infiltrate their base (I'm not sure which episode that would be for Gatchaman II). Wink

No, In my class the moldy lunch is left in the desk. Children eat at their desks. A few days later I walk past the desk and wonder what that smell is.

I do not ususally go into a childs desk, unless told by the child I can. I consider everything in it their property. Unfortunately sometimes I have to, to locate those awful smells. Smile

LOL! I never left food in my desk as a kid but I remember that I used to doodle all over my desk in pencil - vast artistic "masterpieces" and everyday it would be gone and I could start again. After a few days of this, the teacher took me to the side and told me to stop drawing all over my desk because the janitors were complaining about cleaning the desk tops. I continued drawing my "masterpieces" but I always erased them before the end of the day. *grin*

I think it is a good thing you are not in my class.
I have the students wash ALL the desks in class if I catch them drawing masterpieces on their desks after being told not too.

Heh heh... I did say that I erased them so the janitors didn't have to. Eventually I ended up drawing on scrap paper so I could keep my creations... or at least make paper airplanes out of them.

It's one of my fav lines in the whole series from Jun...I mean it shows that she really wants to more like other girls but she knows that she needs to be part of the team to make a difference.

It comes from being a Condor at the beginning to enforce the rules and then knowing when I can relax them a little and become an Owl or even a caring Swan.

The Swan part is the hard part for me. I do not want to know what is happening at your home, because I do not want to be forced to call childrens aid for some issue.
It is easier to remain at arms distance and pretend not to hear when someone says their Mom hit them when they help baby brother wrong.

Yes I have had a childr tell me that this year.

I have also been told by childrens aid, if a child comes to school with out a snack or lunch then I need to call. Appearantly parents are abusing their children when they do not send snacks.

As a teacher/carer of children if I even suspect abuse/ problem I am meant to call Childrens aid. I can handle the big things, child comes in with unexplained bruises, child wears same clothing for 2-3 days, child is unclean.

It is those little stories that I hear that I never know what to do about. Mommy slapped me for spilling my milk, or jumping on the bed etc

It would be hard at times to judge it...abuse is not always in your face I suppose...

No it is not, and some of the stories kids tell, especially 6 years olds, can be very wild.

eg. I am walking down my class line one morning Good Morning. Good Morning, Good morning Ms. B guess what, "Our downstairs tenant attacked my Mom with a knife." My response "mmm hmmm."

I continue down the line two more children before it clicks what was said. I am sure you could see it in one of those comedic skits, Double take and my eyes open "You said WHAT?" Get the children into class call the principal to let her know what said to me only to discover the child was making the story up.

Now that is one way to wake me up in the morning, but I do not prefer it. Smile

LOL... my daughter called her teacher Ms B last year too. Must be a thing with Grade 1 teachers....

As for the tenant thing... that's not really something to report as abuse, but YIKES! I would be really scared if I heard a story like that...

Ah but the Children's Aid would consider it so because the parent has the child in a dangerous situation.

How would a parent know if something like that might occur?

I think it was in Gatch 2, I don't remember any scene of this sort in ER!
One thing I don't get, if Katze has disguised himself in RI and had free pass in the ISO headquarters, why didn't s/he kill Nambu. I understand that s/he didn't knew the identities of any of the team members, but it was a great ocassion to get rid of/kidnap some ISO bigwig!

The Jun double episode was also aired in ER, Amy. It's the one I took the 'blonde Jun' shot from.

As for the Gatch i ep with Katse being RI... it was after RI had died, and he was 'hiding out' in a base 'working against Galactor'. Ken figured out it wasn't RI because he called him 'Gatchaman' instead of 'Ken'.

Of course, in BOTP, Mark figured out it wasn't Colonel Cronus because Cronus offered him a cup of coffee, and the REAL Cronus would have know that Mark 'didn't drink'. ROFL 2
