The details have been worked through Amy. Mark is shipped off planet when he is only a few months old. He does not know his birth mother. (Remember in BOTP they are orphans.) BTW, Marks birth mother is still alive and a Prime, if you remember what that means from my discussion about powers. Mark meets his mother much later in my story line. And, if my muses are setting me on the correct path, Mark has meet his father, at various times through his life. But his father has not revealed his relationship to Mark yet, partly because his mind was tampered with so he did not know about his son. So far, from what I know of this charater, he has strong powers but is one step down from being a prime, (he is a second or TWIC.)
As for Princess being nobility. The line for the throne does not follow a blood line. So nobility does not play a factor for who gets to rule Riga next. What prevents Riga from having battles/disputes for the throne?
There can be and are disputes or challenges for the Throne. On Riga for the last 250 years that is all that has been happening, and Spectra keeps the battles going by throwing their support to different factions, the strongest party of the day. This is the biggest reason so many people/Families/children left Riga. They wanted to get away from the battles going on or keep their families safe from revenge attacks.
Now this is where I may stretch some of your beliefs.
In my Universe, the planet Riga is a power or entity on its own. The Throne and a Stone (the King's Stone) are the heart of Riga. A person who wears the Stone is protected by Riga's Powers, to a point (more about this some other time). Riga wants a strong ruler, a person who others will follow, but will also treat everything on Riga fairly. When Riga finds this person, she presents, or shows the Stone to the person, for them to wear. Through this ring the wearer can call on Riga for information (knowledge from previous wearers) and strength. have I suspended your belief yet?
There is a lot more I could tell you, about Challenges, the Kings Crystals and the powers contained in the Throne, Crown, Kings Dagger and the Kings Sword. (I don't know why I knew Mark could use a sword, but some how this shows a connection to the Fighter Series, with Ego, you have been teaching me about in your posts.)
I told you: I have a whole living Universe mapped out in my head. My problem has been getting the courage to write it down for others to read about. Now that I have taken up a entire pos,t with nothing important, I am going to wander off to other threads.
