Since many of us are in multiple fandoms, I thought I should inform anyone who knew of her .... Lari Lee prolific Potterphile passed away yesterday from a severe asthma attack.
She was one of the first online friends that I met. Possible the second, after Metamuse. We flew into McCarren a few hours apart and stayed with MM for the Lumos Harry Potter convention. The first and only con I've been able to attend.
I never had a lot to do with the Harry Potter fandom, except that we used to get gigs bringing owls to book launches and movie premieres back in the day. I have fond(ish) memories of staggering into bookstores and theatre foyers well before dawn, lugging airline kennels and equipment ahead of long queues of people wearing pointy hats and stripey scarves. They seemed like a fun bunch.

Add my sympathies as well. I didn't know her, but as a lifelong asthmatic, I believe I appreciate (that doesn't seem like the exact word I'm looking for, but it's the best I can do right now) what she must have gone through. I'll keep her family and friends (including you, Ame) in my thoughts.

I'm sorry to hear you lost a fellow fandom friend. It must have been shock since by the sounds of it, totally unexpected.
I haven't been in the Harry Potter fandoms. ( I'm only BOTP/ Gatchaman.)
Hugs xx
