First off, I want to give a HUGE thank you to GGO for coming to Mad Katherine's aid when she couldn't post her Bradbury's Jar prompt. For some foolish reason I thought I wouldn't be at my post.
And now comes the why I wasn't there:
On the afternoon of March 5, I decided to take a quick nap. While I was transferring from my wheelchair to the bed, I fell. My hip (which is a mass of arthritis anyway) hit a small stool full force. I was in the hospital for a week, in which i had a case of Cellulitis flare up in addition to the nasty bruising my bone took.
Needless to say, I went from the hospital to a rehab center. Today's the first day I felt strong enough to get in touch.I don't know how frequently I'll be able to log on, but I'll do the best I can.

Thanks, gang! If nothing else, I can honestly say it's worse to have a bruised bone than a broken one. (Yes, I had a broken bone 10 years ago. I must admit my aunt was right -- this hasn't been one of my better centuries. )
Anyway, today I was able to pull myself to the edge of my bed and sit up with minimal assistance. Hopefully it won't take too much longer for me to do it completely on my own without exerting so much energy! (Hey, the therapists are really working me over!!)
I'm really looking toward the day when I have the strength to read everything you all post and contribute as I did before that crappy day last month!

I bruised my tailbone back in 6th grade (don't run by the pool, kids!) and it took FOREVER for it to stop giving me problems. At least it wasn't something as substantial as a hip.
