Since it is Memorial Day here in the US, I threw this together...
(Any other countries observing it today? I know many observe it, just not necessarily in May. Sorry for my ignorance...)

the UK have Armistice day each November 11th, with Remembrance day the nearest Sunday to it. This year, Remembrance Sunday will fall on November 9th.

We used to celebrate Armistice Day, but sometime after Korea, we changed it to Veterans Day to celebrate all of our soldiers. The distinction from Memorial Day is for our fallen soldiers, but we still remember and thank them all.

I just spent the weekend at the Indy 500. They do a lot with veterans to honor them before the race. I doubt there was a dry eye at the track.

I've heard US's national holiday is coming and "The Game of Thrones" will be skipped on that day. Now I see it is Memorial day... It looks many Americans sincerely pay tribute the spirits. Envy them because they do not need to doubt nor dishonor those who lying on the National Cemetery.
