Ahhhh, Cep, Honey ... I can give you a list of things in here that a firefighter would cringe over.
I had to complain to our head of health and safety about a blocked firedoor for the warehouse on the winter.
Our stupid snow removal mob decided to pile the snow directly in front of the door when they plowed.
Rather that immediately dispatching the team from the warehouse to start clearing the doorway, she called the plow mob and actually let it be blocked like that for the whole day ...
<shrugs>
And let's not forget we've not had a fire drill in the entire six-and-a-bit years I've been here. There is no rally point if there is an evac, no evac procedure ...
When I questioned it, I was told: You're the receptionist, if there is an evacuation for any reason, it's your responsibility.
We had a bomb-threat (It was a store person playing a stupid game, to which I immediately called him on - I wasn't calling 911 and evacuating for a hoax) and I approached the operations guy about what the procedure would actually be if we received a genuine threat - he shrugged and said "I don't know - maybe you should call the police and find out"
Huh? Me? Shouldn't the JHSC be responsible for - oh, wait - we don't exactly have a health and safety commitee...
<shrugs>
With all that, is it s surprise I sit where I do?
