Galaxy Fail!

In the grand scheme of things, this wouldn’t be considered a big deal. This is annoying, though. It’s the type of annoying that’s like an itchy patch of dry skin that’s located in an area of the back that’s hard to reach and a backscratcher is nowhere to be found.

Here it is:

Samsung recently released Galaxy – a kind of smart phone turned into a wrist communicator. So, the company’s been running television commercials featuring clips of wrist communicators from different tv shows and movies. The clips are from:

Dick Tracy
The Jetsons
Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers
Knight Rider
Johnny Sokko and His Flying Robot
Inspector Gadget
Predator
Star Trek (the 1979 movie)
Get Smart
Babylon 5
Flash Gordon
The Flintstones
Thunderbirds

Notice anything? I re-watched the commercials several times to make sure I didn’t miss a quick flash of a few frames, yet there was no sign.

So how – how?!? – could Samsung go with this ad campaign without Gatchaman?!

My cell is very sensitive to being brushed (when I place it in my pocket) when the screen is up and does odd things. What will this wrist cell do every time your shirt sleeve rubs over it?

I had a Saab that got irritated if you had anything in the front passenger seat without the use of the seatbelt. I would get a message on a small screen over the steering wheel that read 'Put on your seatbelt!' It had the exclamation point. Since I had mine on, I ignored it. I know what you're talking about. That was the only clip I couldn't identify, so I didn't mention it. (It seems I've been coming off as being fairly stupid lately, so I was hoping nobody would notice the omission.)

Not at all. Marine Boy was on in 1970, so its been a long time. I've never seen it since. It's the first real cartoon I remember.
