Gatchaman Movie Acuo Tie-In

Hi all!

You might recall that I said earlier that, on Monday, a commercial for the Acuo breath mint that has a tie-in with the Gatchaman movie was going to premiere on Japanese TV. Well, sure enough, the commercials (Yes, commercials, plural, not commercial, singular) began appearing on Japanese TV.

Fortunately for us, Lotte, the manufacturer of Acuo, has put all five commercials up on their website! They can be found here:

The five commercial spots are a crossover between the movie and Good Morning Gatchaman, with three of them taking the form of a quiz show where the Good Morning Ninja Team is pitted against Katse in questions relating to the Gatchaman movie, with Tori Matsuzaka, the actor who plays Ken in the movie, giving the correct answers. The other two spots have Katse with his prisoner, who is Tori Matsuzaka dressed in his I.S.O. uniform.

The commercials are definitely silly. And you've got to remember that they're advertising a breath mint, or they'll seem really, really strange. Not that they aren't strange enough already...
