LW, the big problem with all the tests that I should be undergoing, is I have no insurance. I don't have a regular doctor at the moment for the same reason. I can't afford it.

I had an ultrasound yesterday for both the pelvic pain and the thyroid, so I just have to wait a few days for the results.

Allergies are crazy, too. They affect every person differently.

Sorry - I forget sometimes that things are different down here.

We have private insurance and public here, and although our medicare isn't the best we still have a lot of free stuff and bulk billing ( we pay lump sum each year in our tax to help fund) so it is not so much of a hassle to get test done, just a matter of waiting you turn ( there is only about 20 million of us over here),


We have work cover over here that covers if something happens at work, but even with the incentives they offer I can't afford private insurance (it is constantly going up and only covers part of a medical bill), my sister has it, but even with it she was still paying out large amounts for the emergency surgery on her arm and ongoing treatment.

Doesn't pay to get sick now days.

I spent the morning going over labels, and the only other common ingredient was Zinc, but I've never had a reaction to Zinc that I know of. So without further elimination or testing, I can't be 100% positive, but I have limited it significantly. I'll avoid copper and keep watch. Hopefully things will settle and then next year I should be able to afford testing.

Yeah, we are really messed up, up here, LW. America* -- the only first world country where national health insurance is considered an abomination of godless socialism.

TJ: Oh my mom's medications don't change THAT often. Every once in a while I just remember her mentioning that the dr decided the type she was taking weren't doing something so they'd try the other kind.

Okay, it has been quite awhile. The vitamin wasn't the main cause.

It was my asthma medicine. I went off my main preventative four months ago, and my goiter immediately disappeared. No flares, no pain, I can swallow and my voice is normal (not that that is anything to get excited about, but at least it no longer fades out or croaks).

The trade off is I'm on weaker asthmatic Meds that are keeping it stable but not well controlled. Two years of fatigue and lack of exercises, my lung strength is seriously depleted.

Hopefully, this new year will be a healthier year!
