LW ... Oh gosh! Your sister does have an attitude!
TJ and Daniella ... I join you in having a Lego box already under the tree! It's the first Christmas present my son has received this year!
Springie ... I've been chuckling reading your story about the swiping thing! And, thanks a lot for that link ... poor kids ... I could hardly bear watching their disappointed faces! But, you've very much intrigued me to try my first prank on my own kids with it, making sure that the prank won't take long since I so don't like to see my kids unhappy! LOL ... I'm already thinking of wrapping a roll of toilet paper for my daughter, and wait to see her face! She's the one in the family to whom we always tell not to throw so much of paper down the loo, so Santa would have the excuse of giving her an extra roll because she'd have used it all!
KT ... TJ's advice works brilliantly! I recommend you to try it out, even if the letter could have to be put under the tree at the last moment for Santa to find it! Obviously, you would have seen what has been written before, and Santa could do the rest of all the magic!
Gatchgirl and Amethyst ... better not have any argument with you since you both know how to handle knives so well!! But, isn't it lovely how much we cherish our childhood memories, such memories also kept alive in the present Christmases!

The old pics of Christmas mornings of yore do get me feeling all sentimental -it's definitely a magical time of year and so very exciting when you're little.

Their stockings should be definitely equally sized though, or else there'd surely be trouble! |

The injustice of it never even occurred to me as a kid (I guess I just accepted that I was smaller, therefore my stocking had to be small too) -I think I had that little stocking until I was about 9 or so, when I finally got a bigger one. I guess I was sort of attached to it, after all those years, and "Santa" just set the things that wouldn't fit into it on the shelf immediately behind it, so I wasn't getting shorted on the goodies.

Hopefully, you were able to turn the table on him, if not that year, in later years. |

No, I have to say, that never did happen...
