Damn. Just saw TCM's year-end memorial to show business personalities who had died. Some I don't remember hearing about :
Michael Gough - Known to younger people from Tim Burton's films, to people of mine and my parents' generation as (usually) a villain in English movies and television series.
William Campbell - Trelane, the Squire of Gothos -- and other roles that required someone who could be handsome, glib, and not exactly honorable.
James Arness - Marshall Dillon rode into the sunset this year. (I can't remember if I heard about it.)
Jane Russell - I recognize the name, and may have seen some of her movies.
Anne Francis - Forbidden Planet and the series Honey West.
It was quite a list, including screenwriters and producers. All the people who can actually act are dropping dead!

Jane Russell - co-starred with Marilyn Munroe in "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes", and best known for her role in "The Outlaw" that was censored - Howard Hughes had designed a bra to show off her bust to the best effect, and it showed it off a little too well.
The Golden Years of Hollywood stars are slowly leaving us, one by one. It is fortunate that their films still exist.
