Ahhh well it could be worse could be from Victoria (South of the boarder or Mexicans as they are refered to...Melbournites etc)....I plan to go to WA later this year is that close enoughSmile I have friends over there...I havn't been doing alot of late cause I had to take on full time work (poor artist syndrome) But I will start to produce some work later this year...so swanjun were are you located that you do not have access to TIM TAMS that is such a crime!

Oh, Ebonyswanne,

I am here all Tim Tam Less in Toronto, Canada...

My hubby, aka Flash, always teases me when we go shopping because he'll yell out "Look, baby, Tim Tams" just to see me get all excited and then pout when I realize he's being mean.

So imagine, then, 4 years ago when I wandered into Shoppers Drug Mart (Amcal pharmacy equivalent) and ... hubby ran up to me with a handful of bickie packages and was saying "Baby, Tim Tams!"

I guffed and poked my tongue out at him for lying to me - but - but - he wasn't lying!! Canada decided to sell Tim Tams (called Arnotts over here) ...

I kid you not, he spent $60 that night on several packs.

About three months later, they stopped selling them.

Gosh, I was devastated.

And now, I can't even buy Vegemite!

The only "Aussie" beer is Fosters ... and for crying out loud. Not even Australians drink Fosters! Why the heck do they think we sold it to them in the first place? Cos we don't like the watered down cats piss!

Of course it's still better than American beer ... and <whispers really quiet> better than Canadian ....

But

My kingdom for a VB stubby!

So anyhoo ... to continue the "I can't buy Aussie shit" grizzle. I check out the homesick Aussie page where they will actually send me all the aussie stuff ...

Luckily in Britain, we actually have proper pubs as well as sports and wine bars who sell the damm good beer that doesn't taste like piss as you said, has a head that stays there for more than 1 nano second and ain't fizzy but unfortuanately most places do sell sht like pints of fosters and such and I have tried Becks (it wasn't but I was only 18 at the time) and it DID taste like piss as well as looks like it asnd probably was as the lads tolets were straight behind the studends bar.

When I talk about beer, it's mostly real ale, like my beloved Bombardier or Speckled Hen (some names are quite funny) and scottish beer like Deuchers (I think that's you spelt it) and even Guniess, just name a few in a lot of pubs.
