I'm getting lots of exercise. We have a deal with Crackers, age 8. For every letter he gets perfect in cursive practice, and every math flash-card he does within 10 seconds, I (or Hubby) do an exercise, like a push-up, jumping-jack, crunchie,... There are 24 flash cards every day, and cursive practice is 50-75 letters a day, so I'll be in great shape by summer vacation! He's also doing reasonably well with "choose your own homework time". Mommy bites tongue, and he does it on his own time without complaints, otherwise Mommy sets the time.
Rocket is now a level B reader. Started the year as AA, teacher thought a good goal for her would be level C, so she's progressing nicely.
And we've found and purchased all the gifts for the spring birthdays. Except for the roller blades for Crackers; they're not out yet, and he already knows he's getting them.
Cheers!

Eeeeps! I missed my Monday shared joy!
I like that one!
So many posts! I swear I was here less than a week ago, but I'm having to go through the forums one by one. Patience, it may take a while.
Finally realized I was taking more time fighting through webmail than it would take to get ThunderBird running properly, so now I have all my email archives back. Definitely need to purge them.
Unpacked the china boxes from the move last spring. Too many fancy things we never use, can't even remember the history of them.
Mid-week seemed horrid, had nothing done. Seem to have caught up somewhat today. Helps that I found a short, easy-to-learn story to tell. Three potential new members have called for the guild, ranging from maybe come listen to definitely want to join as a teller.
Teacher says son needn't do math flash cards this weekend, she's not worried about him. Well, I'm outspoken with the Moms about not worrying about them learning the tables really fast (and not buying next year's books for him to work through, learned from experience there), but I do think they need a bit more practice than they're getting. I much prefer her being the heavy, not me. Still, it's good to know he's got it mastered it well enough to be rewarded with time off.
Cute.
Wish hubby luck, he's doing his purple belt test as I type. Should be nicely into the fitness portion by now. They've got some senior belts being tested tonight, so it will be brutal.
Cheers!
