I was wondering if any of you have ever been to see John Edward , the psychic? I have a chance to see him this year but wasn't sure if it would be worth it.
I do believe in an afterlife, so that isn't the problem. I was just wondering if anyone else would pay approx. 200 dollars for a ticket.
Any thoughts appreciated and I will be posting this on other sites so you may see this again.

I personally wouldn't pay to see a psychic or medium. While I accept some may be the real deal, there are far too many charlatans out there.
The last person jailed for witchcraft in the UK was a medium, who told people that the WW2 ship their sons/husbands were serving on had sunk and they were dead while the MOD was still keeping the information secret.

There are precious few things I'd pay that much money for, and very few of them that are single-evening events.
Even if he tells you what you want to hear (and what are the odds he'd choose you?), would you actually believe it, or wonder if he somehow got clues?
The one I watched on TV, he asked vague and leading questions, then worked with what the audience gave him to entice even more information. I caught maybe three specific, provable points that I couldn't recall them giving him. (Half the adult population is thinking of writing a book, and most of the rest think they have an experience that's book-worthy. So a spirit telling you to write that book you're thinking of is ... suspicious.)
Very impressive showmanship, but not worth $200 to see it.
As far as whether any specific psychic has it or not? You cannot prove a negative, so maybe it exists. I've just seen too many fakers making big money to trust any of them.
