I've never seen one of these before. It's quite an odd print too because it seems to have Nambu and an extra child on it too. Just trying to work out whether it's got an episode specific look to it or not.

That's a transparent Banpresto figure. They made a set of about 6 different characters in transparent stuff that they'd already made in opaque plastic (the others were Casshan, Hurricane Polymer and so on, not other Gatch characters). They are rather harder to find than the opaque ones.

Another toy I have. The propellor isn't built into the figure, but is instead part of a green plastic backpack that he wears. The battery-powered propellor pack attaches to a string that you're supposed to attach to an overhead light or a ceiling fan, so he can twirl around in a circle. I've also seen a Mazinger Z version of the same toy, but I don't own one of those.

The horror.... The horror....

Obviously, these aren't a licensed item, but one obviously inspired by a certain team of heroes. It was released by Disney in Japan in the Summer of 2006. They're actually decent sized plush figures, about 13 inches tall.

A similar concept was used to create several lines of plush Snoopy in Bird Style costumes in 2002. Like the Pooh plush, the Snoopy plush were unlicensed, but unmistakable as to their origins.

I like that but can they fly like their human counterparts though, which I doubt and does that mean that Tigger is wearing a Galactor Goon outift?

I can imagine a group of Snoopys in birdstyle, but what does Woodstock be wearing?

That would certainly have been a cute notion, and since Tigger is technically in the cat family, very appropriate. Alas, as far as I am aware, none of the other residents of the Hundred Acre Woods were included in this line.

While Woodstock has turned up in some of the numerous Snoopy plush lines released in Japan, he did not figure into any of the Bird Style Snoopy sets. Perhaps he was jealous that his friend was cutting into his avian action. Wink3

Hello all,

I'm not home at the moment, so I can take a picture of my Snoopy plush figures, but an auction for a set has just turned up on Yahoo! Japan. It can be seen at:

This is an auction for a set of the smallest Gatchaman Snoopy plush, with each figure being about the size of your fist. There were two larger size sets as well.

As I said earlier, Woodstock was not part of the set, just Snoopy. And, as these aren't a licensed Gatchaman product (Though they are a licensed Peanuts product), the uniforms aren't exact matches, but it's pretty obvious what the inspiration for them was. And they are certainly cute!
