Lately, I've been freaking out thinking about the past, present and the future, and where I'll end up and I think this feeling is what they call anxiety! And I've also been feeling alot of guilt for several things I've done in the past. I think I'm going crazy. I also feel like all of my best years are long gone, and there will never be any other ones and that the rest of my life is going to be dull, gloomy, sad, depressing, every other word that relates to those.
Allen, babe, anxiety seems to be your natural state.
It is nothing unusual for us to contemplate past and future, where we want to go, what we want to do - and to imagine tht our past will provide roadblocks in the future.
Trust me on this - it happened to me June 2010 and there are a number of people here who will agree how deep a depression it sent me spiralling into.
Your best years are gone only if you think they are - but look at people who did their best work after they had a lifetime of experience behind them! Not one astronaut who pioneered space trvel was under 40. Alexander Graham Bell was over 40 when he invented the telephone. Stephen King's success came when he was in his 40's.
Dames Helen Mirren and Judi Dench didn't win oscars until they were in their 50's!
The only thing stopping you moving on and doing great things is you. You have to stop thinking that the universe is out to get you and stop waiting for what you think you are "owed".
The universe owes us nothing. It gave us life. It gives us a place to live. Tht's a pretty big give.
Everything else is up to us.
Now - get out there and LIVE!
