I hope all my US friends have a great Thanksgiving!

One of the American techs in our department is going to throw a mini-thanksgiving lunch for some of us in early December.

Including his wonderful corn bread..... (LOVE corn bread!!).

I've been volunteered to do baked veges (potatoes, sweet potatoes, etc). I think it's going to be fun!

Where are you Katse to have snow? Where I live north of Toronto, I am impatiently waiting for the snow. Although I did see signs of it on Sunday morning before the Santa Claus Parade, but it did not settle. *sigh*

I've never eaten out for a holiday, unless you count the Easter weekend that I went off to Reno with my hubby before we were married. No we didn't get married there, but my family seemed to expect it.

It's only been the last four or five years that I've been doing holiday cooking. I enjoy, and I make the kids do the clean up.

Even we do not go to eat out often on holidays! We do attend parties, or business dinners, but on those specific days, like Christmas, New Year, or Easter, we like to keep it a family thing, with everything home-made! I so hope I could be able to keep this tradition, too! Apart from the joy in doing so, even if sometimes it's tiring, we also find that it's not at all worth it to spend large amounts of money to eat out, the prices flying up sky high due to the special occasion in question, when you're eating food which is not top quality on such days! When there are a lot of persons requesting seats at restaurants, at one time, caterers need to prepare food a long way ahead (which, BTW is not that sanitary!), and I hate it when, sometimes, you're dictated by time as to how long you're to stay at a table, or not! At the end, nothing compares with home-made food!

Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving that is celebrating today.

I'd sure be going out too if I didn't have friends doing cooking. I'm contributing a few things but not the big stuff.

I kind of miss the big Thanksgiving dinner at home with family, but this is good too.

No matter what you're doing, cooking, eating in, eating out, whatever, have a wonderful day.

As for snow, the longer it stays away, the better I like it.Smile
