I liked this episode in both shows.

As for the frequency thing, reaching back to my high school physics class (I studied like hell to barely pass the damn class), a frequency is just the timing of a cycle in this case a wave transmission. Now for speculation, so I could be wrong, but while some type of receiver would be needed, in many cases it would need to be a bit more sophisticated than just a radio antenna. Think the way WiFi works, that is frequency based, I believe.

Could Galactor have proper type of equipment to capture this, obviously they did. Would the average person, not likely.

Sorry no, those numbers have nothing to do with frequencies or discussion. My dog decided to step on the keyboard when I paused mid-message to play keep-away -- my daughter and I trying to keep a tennis ball or two away from the dog.

This is one of my favourite episodes. I havent watched the BotP version but enjoyed reading the recap. I dont have to put up with so much zark that way!

Lol even my 4 yo isnt keen on him. His suggestion was for G-force to throw the "robot" in the bin and shoot it with a bird missile!

Yes I wondered about the gun as well when I saw it but know next to nothing about guns. I was thinking it was a bit low tech compared with all the other stuff in the show

Ah, that's too complicated when you're trying to snipe a horde of Gallactor goons going about 160 mph in a swamp/bog/wetland of indeterminate latitude. Bolt-action rifles are great for long-range targets from a stable rest. That situation was anything but stable.

It's interesting that although Joe sometimes complains about or criticizes Ken's decisions, he never says that he wants to be the leader in his stead.

At least BotP's run ended with a somewhat more conclusive episode than "G-Force" did. Though I much prefer Peewee somberly staring into the sunset while one of Dean Andre's few non-backbeat music pieces playing in the background than another end of episode wrap-up by "good old reliable Zark"!!! Could be worse.....they could've ended it with a "Ready Room" sequence! *ba-dum-ching!

Heh, just kidding...I wonder how the BotP and G-Force production teams would've handled the last four Gatchaman episodes. I remember reading on one of the Gatch fansites how Zark would have his hands full coming up with voice-over explanations before jumping into the lava pit meant for Katse! I think the G-Force writers would be put up against a wall too; they might've lead Katse's suicide (sans the scenes of his body bouncing off the rock and into the lava) slide, but they would've definitely cut out the death of Red Impulse's lackeys (death via firearms was a no-no throughout "G-Force"), and the scenes with Joe and Katse....chop suey. And then Joe's death being covered up with a voiceover from Ace saying that he's recovering in a hospital (they did it near the end of Episode 20 a.k.a the puppy episode, WHILE DIRK WAS STILL IN THE SHIP OFF-SCREEN! Yeah, sometimes the production was sloppy).......yeah, think it was best that they skipped those eps. BotP's producers may have done so intentionally, but I believe with "G-Force" they were only interested in dubbing 85 episodes from the start, and they had a short time (about 3 months according to Dean Andre) to do so.
