It's definitely an idiomatic expression to use 'blacklist' or 'black book'. I think the concept of a 'blackbook' for girls' phone numbers is an American thing, while the 'black list' expression is more universal among English speakers.

That's what I thought! Not leaving out how many expressions are used differently in different countries, being adapted and twisted to fit their own language and trends! Our country is one of the first that borrows so much from other languages!
I also am finding many differences between the English language I've learnt, and which is still being taught at our schools, that being the first language of the British, and the American-English language. Apart from various expressions there are also certain words which are pronounced the same but which must be written differently, eg. "color" and "colour"; "emphasize" and "emphasise"; etc. I do find languages fascinating!

Thanks, Cep! And don't worry about it, Ebony. Since my actual birthday was the middle of the week, and this coming weekend is a long weekend, we're not celebrating until then.
And Marie, I'm certainly not one to point fingers for going off topic! As long as we're all enjoying the conversation, I don't think it matters.
But back on topic... where's that cake you promised?

It's still baking in my mind and I'm happily visualising myself moulding the particulars!!! Just imagine a rich slice of chocolate cake, filled with a thick layer of rich chocolate ganache and served with either guy's sugarpaste ... hmm ... attributes! Surely I'm talking about their lovely ... ehm ... eyes?!!!! It's up to you to decide who will eat from the cake in the middle!! And to say I'm the one who goes all groggy when I have to decorate a hen's party or a bachelor's party cake!!
