You captured the characters well, I'd say soft pastles would look good more like a watercolour effect...

That is a really sweet picture. I say colour in a scanned version, so that you can try with several different colouring techniques and see which you like best (without having to draw it again).

That's a good idea Meri.

Then she could do variations of the same picture and get different effects with colour!

The atmosphere of the picture could change totally. I would be good to see how the different effects of colour work!
