I thought I'd recommend this series here, as it's not very well-known, and it's absolutely fabulous!
Panama Oxridge, "Justin Thyme" and "Thyme running out", part of the "Tartan of Thyme" trilogy (third book not out yet). Time-travel, humour and LOTS of clues that will keep you going back and saying "how did I miss this?"
After reading book 2 I went back and found lots of clues in book 1 that led to the events in the sequel, now I'm thinking what clues I've missed for book 3!
