How does one go about getting a fan-dubbed or subtitled set for Gatchaman II? I'd like to watch the series but don't think I'd be able to follow the Japanese-only DVDs and Eagle Riders butchers up so many of the original stories. What are the best options?
Getting on our hands and knees and BEG!! Thats my last option to getting the translations! I have no pride left.... Damn it...just gimme the friggin translations and NOW!!! Or I'll go all cyborg Condor on ya...get it...owns of copyrights...NOWWWWWWW!!!!!!!

FWIW, if you can get past the silly names, Eagle Riders does not butcher most of the stories for Gatchaman II. They definitely mess around with the Gatchaman Fighter episodes. But the vast majority of the Gatchaman II plots were the same, to the extent of often keeping the same names for the guest characters.
I agree it's better to see the original with subs. There are a few fan-made ones floating around out there, but not for the entire series.
I do not know if this helps but i got my copy from here http://cgi.ebay.com/Gatchaman-II-TV-ALL-52-Episodes-10-DVD-Set-/300457629660?pt=US_DVD_HD_DVD_Blu_ray&hash=item45f4ab97dc
It doesn't have subtitles though!
