A confused Newbie , moved thread,
forgiveness requires , I'm still learning my way around the forum
What if this was real!!!

What if this was real??!!
What if someone was watching the fanfic, incase someone got close to the truth?
What if they were reading this hoping to find an untrained psi, and their intentions were to use this information to not only predict the outcome off events but to change the future outcomes of battles?
What if they were useing this information as a back up system for BOTP / Gatchaman, a potential training forum, posting Questions and see what the thread revealed?
Developing case notes on potential recruites (not necessarily volunteers),
OR
what if you were living in the same city as ISO?
Who would you be?
How would this impact on your daily life?
How would you see the war as a civilian?
If you were a child, teenager, middle age woman looking for a new husband (eg anderson/ nambu he' s raised several children, independanly wealth, potential husband material, well he works alot leaving plenty of time for a wife to do what she wants and his children are grown, ah ah cleo's top 100 bachelors, or Dear Dolly - I so gonna marry the
eagle when I grow up how do i make this happen?
or a poll, which is your favourite have your say, or what about a talk back radio program have you say?

Slow down a bit as you type. I think I know what you're getting at.
There could be fanfic of a real-life G-Force or Science Ninja Team. And someone in the ISO could be looking it over, for other reasons than to see if anyone had breached security. (The RCMP made a deal with Disney to help control the use of their image. I could see the ISO doing something similar with their special ops team.)
You could do a number of stories about this. Someone writes a fic. A few days or weeks later, an incident resembling that fic occurs. Security is all over it, trying to figure out if it's a coincidence, if the writer had learned something and was trying to warn people (without tipping off the wrong folks), or if the person really did foresee this.
You could write from the POV of the fic's author. In the case of the coincidence, the writer might become convinced that s/he has psychic powers (but does not). This could either freak him/her out, or lead to humiliation as s/he tries to 'help' by making other predictions, that do not come true.
Oh, and the people watching could also be Galactor/Spectra.

I'm not certain that that would work as well as expected. Both teams have a public face, but the membership is known only to a select few. (Although they seem rather sloppy about it in BotP.)

The implication in Science Ninja Team Gatchaman is that the ISO has a number of facilities around the world. The main building (the 8-sided one) is in Amegapolis (an expy of New York City).
On Battle of the Planets, well, I can't remember where they located Galaxy Security headquarters (the same 8-sided building). I put it in New York City.

Well, who lives in major cities? Most people really would not notice the famous organization in their midst. It's just another part of the city. (People in Atlanta don't go around talking about the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and people in NYC don't spend all their time talking about the UN or Wall Street.)
Galactor sometimes attacks Amegapolis, and if you wanted models for BotP, you might look at various British or European cities during WW2, and how modern people respond to natural disasters. (My prediction: most of those who die might have survived if they had simply stayed home. They got stuck in traffic.)

The preceding paragraph is a bit jumbled and confused.
Chief Anderson is a government employee, so he might not be wealthy. Nambu seems to be, since he apparently trained and equipped the Science Ninja Team from his own resources. And he might be well able to fend off gold-diggers.
Who's Cleo?
A story from the POV of a little girl who has a crush on the Eagle? That could be interesting.

The Condor might actually be a one-woman man. His ladies' man reputation is fanon rather than canon. (So far, the only women he attracts work for the bad guys.)

They use to have a Question and Answer page, were people ask for advise
My thoughts ,though not well typed, were of the impact of the war on people, interruption to business (the need to evacuate to safe centres etc ) when Spectra attached,would this impact on the overall profit margins and employment figures eg Jun may not be the only one having trouble meeting her bill because her business is not always able to remain open)
The impact may also be on houseing, after building are destroyed.
The building industry would profit, but then you may have the unscrupulouse ones who charge exagerated amounts for repairs and rebuilding, and do they have skilled labourers?
As for thoughts on Nambu, Condor and Eagle, I am guilty of also reading gossip magazines, and speculating with my friends , sometimes I find what they speculate and hint at is more interesting than the truth.
PS I am trying to type slower but that little voice in my head screams louder, will try and gag her

You could write down some of these ideas, then let them roll around in your head for a while.
Make up some files in whatever word-processing program you use. Type in a given idea. When you have some related thoughts, enter them. Leave them alone for a bit (a day or so), then come back to them. Reorganize, spell-check, punctuate.
Or, you could try hand-writing them down. That might slow you down enough to let you organize a bit.
Anyway, you then have someplace to put any research you might do.
You suggest some different directions for fics: what happens to the people in either universe? The ordinary folks who have to cope with the mess left behind?
You could write some stories based on that. People in an upper-class gated neighborhood who must adjust to the reality that their wealth won't keep out Galactor or Spectra.
The lower-income people who can't get their homes repaired because the city council is loaded with dickheads (and perhaps because they are insufficiently white). That happens in RL after many disasters.
What does the manager of the local branch of a corporation do when Galactor or Spectra attacks? Or, what happens when s/he tries to prepare for the attacks? Does s/he even try to prepare?
(People have written some Joe/Ken fics already. Now, if you even IMPLY that Nambu (or Anderson) abuses his wards, prepare to be dumped on. Stories in which he's fighting against untrue allegations and rumors are more acceptable.)

To be fair, I recall reading a very good story in Birdscramble, where Anderson had a single incident where he was rough beyond reasonable limits with Jason as a child. He had his own emotional abuse in his past which led to this, and he had to deal with the repercussions of this much later on, as he and Jason came to terms with it. |

I believe I read a hell of a story that suggested Anderson was molesting Princess when she was younger...

That was Ennien's Prisoner of War fic. Apparently, Anderson's rationale was that he had to prepare her for the worst that could happen in the war. Unfortunately, he went about it the wrong way. He also screwed G-Force up royally, especially Jason.
But it's very easy to mess something like this up. It's such an alternative characterization that the groundwork has to be carefully laid. Otherwise, the writer comes across as an a-hole who has to dump on everything.
The Luminous One or Leader X becoming human(oid)? Could be done. Just establish that it can do so. Perhaps it can possess people, or else work someone like a marionette. If either one has telepathic ability, the puppeteer method is plausible. Or someone could design a robot body it could use.
