I'm actually drinking red wine right now, and I'm pretty certain it's not that potent! I've had some Belgian triples that seemed pretty strong, but were probably only 10%. I guess this "Tokyo" is to beer what port is to wine (and I'm not that fond of port).
LOL as I was reading your post I was pouring a glass of red wine! The Japanese like their alcohol strong don't they!
Iboriga! I like Port! I'm surprised you don't since you like red wine, but then what I drink is locally made so it might have a different flavour to what you've tasted... I was just thinking of your name and I almost added..."It tastes different when it not laced with poison!!!"

Actually the beer is British beer called Tokyo. Don't know why it's called that or why it's that strong or what kind of beer, whether is real ale (probably not), lager, IPA, etc.

Heh, Lucrezia does have that reputation...
Actually, I do have a bottle of port, from Portugal, that my Dad gave me. He and my step-Mom spent part of a winter there, and when travelling, they like to eat and drink whatever the locals appear to be eating and drinking (though he did say that the area he was staying in had as many Brits as Portuguese).
I confess I haven't drank very much of it. It seems more like a liqueur to me, and on the odd occasion that I'm in the mood for a liqueur to sip, I prefer Amaretto. But now I'm thinking that maybe I should give the port another chance...
For me there's nothing better than Martini on the Rocks or Vodka with orange juice or Bitter Lemon and ice, apart from the good old beer or wine according to the mood I'm in or the food that accompanies them!
