Although this movie has just came out to DVD, I finally took the time to go see it the dollar movies.
Why did I wait sooo long? This movie FREAKIN' GREAT (imho). Yes, it is the standard "revenage-i'm gonna kill you all for screwing me over" movie, but I've always had a soft spot for movies with large amounts(wasn't as much as some (Braveheart had massive amounts)) of carnage  , kung fu kick assing, sword wielding pissed off women, hacked off limbs, blood gushing, Japense speaking, subtitled and darkly humorous movies(i'm not sure how many others throught it was funny, but I was dying(no pun) laughing several times.
Just throught I'd share this before I ran off to the store to buy stuff to make cookies.

IT FREAKING ROCKED~!!!!!! Yeah Baby YEAH!!!!
I had to blink twice before it hit me what I loved about this movie and gave me such a thrill...
Damn Plot could have been written by anyone in here!! It was like I was watching an IF come to life..I kid you not!
I almost choked on the opening phrase of the movie "Revenge is a dish best served cold" ..and grinned like an idiot with a flashback to Buffy and Lyon whove used the very same quote at one time or another..
The movie HOOKS you from the opening scene..Its shocking , in your face and keeps you riveted till the unexpected blast after "The bride" utters "Bill its your baby" not five seconds into the movie..
I damn well jumped to the ceiling and screamed it was that unexpected!
The blood and gore had me hidng a few times behind my fav cushion but in true Taratino style , just with the gasps come the unexpected laughs..
Watch when The Bride meets up with Vernita in her suburban home , loungerrom trashed beyond belief by the violence of the fight< and one damn hell of a kickass fight too!> only to be interrupted by little Nikki who arrives home from school.
No Nope nada..I had no hesitations or doubts..I was damn Hooked and loved loved LOVED IT!!!!!
The cinematography, the cut to black and white scnes < Griz was disppointed as he wanted the Crazy 88 slash fest to be in colour > the anime style recount of Oshi Ren's past..the way it flicked back and forths from the traumatic event of the slaying of the wedding party to The Brides Revenge on the five people responsible..
heck , sure its B grade, sure its violent , but if you appreciate Japanese movies, spaghetti westerns, Love Taratino films and use of brilliantly cut scenes flashbacks, fastforwards beuatiful beuatiful cinmetography and truly appreciate the nuances and Japanese elements of violence, sword play and kung fu fights, beauty, humour, angst and cold blooded revenge , mystery, thats usually found in animes < and in most of the fanfics and IF's I love reading from you guys> then Im telling you you WILL enjoy Kill Bill Vol 1
One scene I simply loved was the fight in the snow with Oshi Ren. The evocative beauty and grace of that one scne was truly breathtaking <till the end of that fight Ye GODS!! >
Dont think Ive eeped and gasped and practically jumped out of my skin so much in a while!
Just goers to show you what a lack of offerings in kewl films there are out there at the moment..
Just be prepared for the fact that this movie was originally intended as one long movie with ten chapters..< Vol 1 ends with chapter four or five..Vol 2 is at the movies at the moment down under!>
So Im warning you you might be screaming and groaning "NOOOOOOOO!!!!" when the movie ends on a climactic <tho quite predictable..as I kinda saw it coming..> ending.
Um..In all that rambling and gushing did I tell you I liked the film?
