It has been too long away from this board. Nice to see I haven't been forgotten.
Things just got really hectic. I was yearbook advisor this year and that alone should be enough said.
The last two weeks have been particularly hard. On June 15 I lost my little scottie girl, my screen namesake, Stardust, aka Dusty. She had cancer really bad. The little bitch never ever let me know right to the end, typical terrier.
As a result I took myself down to one forum for awhile. But now it is summer and I can catch up with everyone. Thanks for the birthday greetings.

Very belated Birthday greetings Stardust. Sorry to hear about your pet

And Thorn, can't help but notice that avatar. Katse/Zoltar fan? Do tell.

Yes, I am a Katse/Zoltar fan. I started out as just a Zoltar fan since that's the only things I saw in the late 70s/early 80s. I also remember the horrified response of my grandmother who raised me when she watched with me saying "He's the villain!". I just replied "yeah so?"
When I started looking on the internet in the late 90s, I saw some pages about Gatchaman and knew then BOTP was a watered down remake of Gatchaman. Only recently has my interest been re-sparked and I am starting to discover "Berg Katse". Zoltar seems kind of lame in comparison to me now. Also, I can relate to the gender ambiguity of Katse. No I do not literally shift genders but often feel like I do not fit neatly in either category.
I tend to skip the question or wish there were a both and neither option. I just love the "Berg Katse lives" alternative fanfics out there. Budget willing, I hope to get the new DVDs and be able to see Berg Katse in action.

I too started as a Zoltar fan and love him dearly. But I am also beginning to take a liking to Katse. They are two completely different characters with different reasons for waging war on earth.
But Katse is the more harmless one and I am learning how to use hir more in fics.
This is my favorite character and I sometimes wonder if that's the reason my favorite color is purple. That or it's the weird artist thing I got going.

Excuse me while I wipe down screen from sprayed out coffee!!
Ohhh no...we cant debate this in here...Youve just sparked an entire debate on its own!! WHoo!!
Woops! Didn't mean to start off anything here. I didn't mean Katse was the more harmless one. I believe heartless was the word I meant to use originally.
Sorry about that.

Stardust, don't feel too bad. I have made other posts in other forums using the wrong words. Not even a spell check can help since the word was spelled correctly, it just wasn't the one I meant to type.
Just to clarify, I still like Zoltar too, and don't consider him to be lame overall. Zoltar would probably say (to paraphrase Jessica Rabbit) "I'm not lame or watered down, I am just written that way to appease US censors".
