Ok, we've taken the mustache off of Red Impulse, but what about adding facial hair to our favorite ninjas?
I'm not a fan of facial hair on most men, but I just had to see what it would look like. I threw these together quickly on PS- What do you think?

My husband has always had a mustache, but I don't think all men look good with facial hair. I don't think any of them look good with it.

Me, I don't mind mustaches or beards on men -as long as they're neatly trimmed. In the case of the Ninjas, though -facial hair is something I'm not used to seeing on them, so it looks rather odd!

For some reason, though, Springie, your third pic of Ryu has me thinking "Barry Gibb"...

I agree. In general, I'm not opposed to facial hair, but it doesn't usually do anything for me. I will say that some men do look better with it, than with out it.

Joe looked better with the thin mustache they gave him in BC Island episode (81?) than with these. But I do prefer him without facial hair.

I like the guys with long hair and no facial hair.

My husband wears a beard and mustache, usually in the winter. He shaved it all off about a month ago.

My hubby suffers from the baby face curse even with facial hair. He is going to be 47 this year and he still,occasionally, gets carded.

Dragonsbain - I went out with a guy who suffered the same curse.

I had only ever known him with a beard - and then one night he turned up sans facial hair! I couldn't stop staring at him - and asked if he could grow the beard back. Fast.

Ken with the mo looks very much like RI - and he looks more mature with the goatee. Actually, I don't mind him with the goatee.

It might just be because I'm used to see the guys above without facial hair, but I too think that this is really not their best look ... especially in Ken's case! I also think that Joe is the one who can bear this look best, agreeing with Amethyst that he looked good with the thin moustache in the BC Island episode!

I don't have anything against man with facial hair, though, especially those who may look even better in that way! In the case of my DH I simply can't stand it! He has to shave regularly because of the clean look requested by his place of work, but when he'd be on vacation and decides to let it grow, just to be a bit lazy or to give his skin a bit of a break, he ends up to look like a caveman! Shudder ... no wonder I'm always nagging him and couldn't wait until the next shave!

LOL- Marie- I am the same way with my DH- I never allow him to grow facial hair- it looks awful! He looks like a criminal with it! I definitely like the clean shaven look...a more boyish, handsome face. Guess that's why I'm an Eagle girl, huh?

I also agree, that Joe carries facial hair better than Ken...even though I don't like facial hair on any of them!

I must have missed that one .. and somehow, very glad I did (though he would still be handsome, but it's the moustache that gives him that look that just makes me ... sigh....).

Yes, I have always seen physical similarities between Ken and Red Impulse ... and if you give Ken the same type of moustache as Red Impulse, he'd resemble his father even more.

And Ryu actually looks pretty good in the pics. He's got a face well suited to the looks.

Like many have stated, I don't think the guys look good with any of that facial hair. Maybe if it was cleaner, not so scruffy looking.


But I much prefer men with a clean shave and no stubble.
