A wonderful friend (from the Thunderbirds fandom on Tumblr) recently opened her commissions for the creation of crochet dolls.

She is very talented, and has offered to make just about any character you can think of. When I started to lament that the Gatchaman Birdstyle outfits might be difficult to create this way - especially the helmets - she cheerfully said she could do it.

So, I paid my deposit and sent the reference pics . . . and he was done in about a week!

Final payment made, including postage halfway across the world, and he arrived on my doorstep this week!

They're not showing up for me either now, but they did yesterday!
