Well ... let's put it this way the words have been there, I have just been afraid to write them down, because I was concerned about what people might think (or might not like.) I have solved that problem by having some "special muses" telling me I should not care what others think, I should do this for myself. (Thank you TJ, Ebony, Springie and Hino.) Huggles


Ah, we have somewhat different problems. I have a pretty thick skin where others' opinions of my writing are concerned (thank you, grad school) but I still feel shaky when it comes to writing fiction, like I'm juggling dozens of threads and trying to weave them into a pattern, or wondering about how a word or phrase "feels" or its aesthetic qualities -all sorts of stuff I never worried about writing history papers- and if the vision/inspiration/muse isn't there, it just doesn't happen, which again is different for me, because on plenty of occasions I've stayed up all night and made myself crank out papers because they were due the next day.
(Thank God I have no deadlines in fanfiction)

Add me to the list of people thinking you shouldn't worry about what others think -there's no right or wrong way to do it. If it's a genuine expression of you, and makes you happy, then it'll be good. Everything of yours that I've read so far has been good.

Hi all!

While it may be a little late for Egobossler's week, Heather thought I should share this scan of an Egobossler cel that I just got.

 

I'll leave it to you to decide if he has (A) that suave, dreamy look that drives the ladies wild, (B) that tired, sleepy look that comes from a long day of being clobbered by the Science Ninja Team, or (C) that "I've refilled my wine glass one too many times" look.

And, while we're on Egobossler, here's a cel I have of that other member of the Egobossler family tree. You know him, you love him, he's the rightful heir to the Egobossler name, it's Kaseru!
