I'm not a redneck myself, but I lived amongst a bunch of rednecks for about 5 years! I don't think much of it rubbed off on me though... I still have no interest in NASCAR and I never started talking with an accent, though "podunk" has become part of my vocabulary as did the phrase "Bless his/her heart"... I'm thinking only a redneck would understand that last one... 
I think I can still speak some Redneck, but I threw away my Redneck to English dictionary when I moved back north...

Bwahahahaha...I lived in Tennessee for five years, and I've lost most of the accent (I think...what do you think TJ and GatchGirl?) but I *still* say "bless his/her heart" alot...that is so funny...I didn't think about it being southern, but I picked that phrase up while I lived there...

Well I classify myself as an "urban redneck". We used to have a trailer which we would use in the summer on weekends and when I was living in my apt, my car sat broken-down in my parking spot for 3 years! So does that count?
