You said it, CW!

Also, it sounds like the insurance company is acting naturally, so I don't think there's any bad news at this point...just the annoyance of making you wait!

Well...

Got the car back after a day and a half... only to discover this morning that the problems reappear at EXACTLY the same point in my commute as they have been.

<<sigh>>

So - back to the collision repair shop on Saturday morning to pick up a tech and shuttle them around in the car until it fails again so that they can see the failure in action...

Time and gasoline... Wheeeeeeee....

Years ago, I had a problem with my Monte Carlo SS overheating. Radiator was fine with plenty of coolant. I took the car to the dealership 4 times and they couldn't 'recreate' the problem and implied I was a stupid female. My eldest brother was a mechanic, but didn't live anywhere near me. He suggested they check the head gasket. I relayed his suggestion and got a 'he's not a Chevy mechanic' response.

On the way for the 5th try to get them to solve the problem, the engine froze two miles from the dealership and started smoking. I thought the darn ting was on fire. They brought a tow truck and immediately identified the problem as a burned up air compressor that caused the head gasket to crack. My brother had been right.

Don't let them say it isn't a problem. Bug them until they make things right. Hopefully. they won't be as dense as the guys I dealt with.

Boeke: ugh! How awful for you. I hope that your car is fixed as good as new soon and that the motorcycle claim gets tossed out.

Well - third time is (hopefully) the charm...

Car was in the shop again this morning for 6 hours of work. At least the back-up camera re-installation corrected THAT problem... and the other alerts did not fail within the usual 5-10 mile distance. Time will tell...

The car MUST be okay now, because the septic tank pump failed....

Well... P**P!!!!

Well - the verdict is in...

New septic pump and cleaning of the tanks...
AND
I can no longer put off replacing the septic field...

Oh my aching bank account! Smile

T'willl be two or three weeks to complete replacement, and then I'll need new sod on the site. Knew it was needed... just kept hoping and hoping...

Ah well...

Sorry to hear about all the problems Boeke. Hopefully, as you say, this is the last of them. The rest of the year can only get better. animepompom
