So far everything is good, but apparently a massive rainstorm will be coming through about noon.

Same here. I'm just now fixing breakfast, waiting for my brother to get here.

I hadn't heard about the storm, but the rain's just started up here.

Merry Christmas! Stay warm and dry!

Let's just say that I have had a wonderful, long- overdue "Christmas present" from my "not exactly relaxed" Eagle, I hope you know what I mean, Wink

BTW, I recently got a ticket to go see NKOTBSB, and I was thinking of you! I'll have to send you some pictures after the show.

Really?I recorded the American Music Award Show just so that I can see the collaboration between the New Kids and Backstreet Boys again and again. It always amazes me on how the members of NKOTB have not even aged a bit and always look so fresh and young, eventhough they are like, 10 years older than the members of the Backstreet Boys.

Didn't NKOTB have some kind of a concert on a cruise ship for their fans like one year ago? Did you by any chance join this cruise, Smile ?

It is so great that you can see the NKOTBSB perform live. Yes, I would love to see some pics from the concert, I am sure the pics will be awesome. Thank you so much, TJ, Huggles

Hope that you have a great christmas celebration with your family, Smile

Love the pics of the Christmas dogs, LW and Springie!

My sister used to have a set of doggie reindeer antlers she would put on her golden retriever. I never tried to decorate my cat though -he wouldn't have stood for it, I don't think.

I certainly did! DH was most obliging and in a festive mood. Wink

Saturn, I haven't been on the NKOTB cruises, because they are always in May, which is a time when I cannot travel due to work and child care concerns. Unfortunately, they leave the summer open for touring, so they don't go in June or July, when I could possibly travel. Frown But at least I get to go see the concert in July!

However, I will be going on a (non-themed) cruise next week with my family. We're sailing through the Panama Canal!

Guess the pic of Twinkle is too big or I just can't get it to attach. I even tried copying and pasting just can't get it to take. I keeps giving me some kind of error. Sorry about that. Frown

Pufles, attachments aren't working right now. It's not you, it's the site. You'll have to upload your picture to Photobucket or Flickr (or some other photo-sharing account) and use that to host your image.

Sounds like everyone had a very nice Holiday. Another few more days and we can welcome in the New Year.

UW, how did you fair in Georgia with the snow storm? The first snow in over 100 years I gather.

Then it headed up the East coast. I hope everyone in who lives in that area had fun and took it easy. Enjoy the snow while you have it. Wink

Now the Storm is pounding the Atlantic Canada - where Katse lives I believe. I hope she has not been washed away by the storm surge or had any power outages.

Meanwhile I gather there have been floods in Australia. I have not read anyone on here has been affected, but I hope all my Auzzie friends are doing well. Huggles

I missed it. But it snows here more often than that. Unless the storm was worse than usual. (I had to get some sleep. Kitties slept on me.)

Down in Milledgeville, it wasn't very bad. Didn't stick.

Here in Virginia, we got hammered by the storm...14 inches! Definitely one for the record books, especially since it rarely snows here!
Hope everyone else is safe and warm (or safe, cool and dry in Australia)!

We made snow cream...yummy!

Thanks for the information TJ, I thought it was just me. Smile I'll see what I can do about getting a photobucket. Wink
Springie - wow that looks like us last year. Nebraska kept getting snow from Oct thru Apr, it finally melted by the end of April. This year we've barely got dustings. Love it though it's so pretty. Smile We didn't even have enough this time for snow creame, yours looks really good. Icecream1
I hope everyone is safe and sound and able to enjoy snow if they have it. snowing Yippee

I grew up with snow like that, and seeing the pictures now makes me glad I'm in California! Wink Yep, I've become a snow wimp. I have all of these bad memories of shoveling and scraping ice off of my car and lugging shoes and boots and heavy coats everywhere... But I'll admit, I've never made 'snow cream'!

It certainly looks like you got dumped on, Springie! I'm glad you're all okay!

That pic looks magical to me, Springie!

I know snow could be the cause of many problems to most of you, but for me, it's always something I yearn for, especially during the holidays, not having ever had snow falling from our skies! I had to go abroad during such a season in order to know what it's really like! Unless it causes any serious complications, or even accidents, it's just a wonderful sight! The closest thing we can have here is a sudden shower of small balls of hard ice ... UW, last year, had given me a name for such a weather condition, but I cannot remember it, at this very moment! It was something beginning with s...., I think!

Our weather is cold at the moment, with random rain showers and dark clouds swiftly passing by. Although the average temperature is between 12 to 13 degrees celsius, for now, it feels a lot colder because of the dampness left by our longlasting humidity ... the worst enemy for our bones! It feels like someone is constantly throwing a bucket of cold water down your back! In fact, meteorological reports come out with a regular note of "but if feels like ..." near the daily, supposed temperature!

Hope all of you who are having storms, and bad weather, are okay and coping with the situation!

'Hail' is balls of ice. 'Sleet' is ice and rain.

Thanks for reminding me, UW! The "sleet" word was exactly the one I was trying to remember! I guess that's the one most appropriate since the ice showers are generally accompanied by rain!
