That Hydra is -- I think he could sell licensed copies of it. Really. If it were reasonably priced, I just might buy one.

The last photgraph amuses me particularly as the beer beside the "puking" pumpkin is Moosehead -a beer made in the Maritime provinces of Canada, where I'm from. The other bottles look like Heineken -anybody recognize the cans? I don't.

I can make out 'Tecate' on the red cans. Not familiar with the brand.

Tecate is a Mexican beer.

OMG! Those are amazing, and that's what I call talent! Thanks a lot for sharing these pics with us, LB! I so admire people who are capable to do such things! Regarding the beer, I can only recognise the Heineken bottles!

I wonder why I've never heard of it? So, the pumpkins have beers from Canada, the U.S. and Mexico -all of North America is represented!

Today I finally got around to carving the big pumpkin that the BF bought a few weeks ago.

My attempt at a "Leader X" jack o' lantern (and I will make sure he doesn't get into the beer).

Thanks! My next step here is to toast the pumpkin seeds in the oven (and try not to think that they just came out of Leader X's brain...)

That is fantastic LB. I still have not gotten around to carving mine, but I have all weekend.

Thanks, guys.

I'd never really tried a specific design on a jack o' lantern before (just your standard eyes/nose/mouth sort of thing) and I found out that there's a quite a difference between making a quick sketch on paper and then trying to gouge it out of an actual pumpkin with a knife, especially with a pumpkin that's a foot and a half tall with thick walls. (No wonder I like Photoshop -pumpkins have no "undo" function!)

Posted by Transmute Jun on 29-10-2010 at 14:36:

When DH does our pumpkins, he actually draws on them with a pencil. Even if there are pencil lines after, you can erase them, but realistically no one sees them, especially in the dark.
