--- Gatchaman Episode 52: “The Secret of Red Impulse†(http://www.gatchamania.net/threadid.php?threadid=2723)
I seem to recall the BF saying that peanut oil is good for deep fat frying (can get very hot without burning). I say we just crank the temperature in Zark's shower, and throw in some sliced potatoes...
French Fried Zark? Hmm... it might just be a seller....

This entire three-parter was included on "The Best of G-Force" DVD. Really did feature the dub's best acting. Some of the name changes off of the top of my head:
Sabu>Sandy
Hontwarl>Satania (an improvement!)
The storyline and humor are virtually intact (even the interchange between Ken and Jinpei at the bar) as is the violence, save for the Red Impulse squadron mowing down the Galactors and the whip guy getting shot and falling to his death (they were "killed off-screen" with no dialogue explanation). The revelation of Red Impulse as Ken's father was explained without the flashback pictures I believe, but that's a result of cutting out extraneous footage due to time constraints.
I saw the BotP version of this.......I'm sorry but it's pretty bad, especially the end with Cronus. They even cut out the scene of Ken yelling "OTO-SAAAAAAAAAN!" ("MY FATHEEEEEERRRRR!" in 'G-Force"), just killing that moment.

Perspective Alters Reality
Need to watch the BotP version again, but I recall a heartbreaking yell of 'Father' from Mark as Cronus boards the rocket.
The out-of-order adaptation blunts the power of the revelation. In Gatch, we had the build-up of hints and then the three episodes culminating in RI's death.
